Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to us at mail@newmepsychology.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Your first session is typically an initial consultation where we'll discuss your concerns, explore your goals for therapy, and determine how we can best support you. This is a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your story and ask any questions you may have.

We offer individual and couples therapy for a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. We also offer the Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) eight week course either online or in-person.

A range of professional forensic services are also offered including training, supervision and expert witness assessments.

Each therapy session usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. The length and frequency of sessions can be tailored to your individual needs and therapeutic goals.

The number of sessions varies depending on your unique situation and goals. Some individuals may see significant progress in a few sessions, while others might benefit from longer-term therapy. We will regularly review your progress to ensure that the therapy remains effective and aligned with your needs.

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Everything discussed in your sessions is kept private, with a few exceptions required by law, such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others. We will explain these exceptions in detail during your initial consultation.

Yes, we offer both in-person and online therapy sessions to accommodate your preferences and needs. Online sessions are conducted via a secure video conferencing platform, ensuring that you receive the same level of care and confidentiality as in-person sessions.

We are a registered provider with a number of insurance companies including AXA, Aviva, BUPA and Vitality. Further details are available upon request.
